Ross Barkley repudiates news of Chelsea medical and explain his choice to remain at Everton

On Thursday night, there were different reports about one player or the other signing a deal somewhere or those certainly not moving anywhere. However, one man received a large chunk of the attention as the stories went, Ross Barkley arrived in London late on transfer deadline day, began Chelsea medical but did not wait to complete the move after having a rethink while undergoing the medical.

Fans were surprised at the strange news. No one was certain of the reason the player would decide to return to his club in the middle of a medical with another club, especially after pushing for a move all through the summer.

Barkley was reportedly not willing to sign a new contract for Everton and was ready to vacate the Goodison Park this summer transfer window, with Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur touted as a possible destination

However, few hours to the deadline, he decided to stay with the Toffees and revealed his reason, with a series of tweets.

Barkley first of all confirm he never had a medical at Chelsea like the reports claimed on Thursday.

He followed it up with a tweet that claim that he wants to wait till he is fully fit to make any decision about his future.

For all the confusion, Barkley had words for those who stood by him through one of the most baffling days of his life, apparently.
