Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho, is currently not satisfied with his left-back players and is looking to shop for a new left-back who was revealed to be Tottenham’s star, Danny Rose.
Mourinho has several options for who to play the left-back – Daley Blind, Ashley Young, Luke Shaw, Marcos Rojo and Matteo Damien has played the position since the Portuguese coach has been at the club, while they have also starred for the Red Devils this season, with injury-plagued Luke Shaw, returning to play in a second-half game against Burton Albion in the EFL Cup last month.
The Red Devils boss seems interested in another player for the position, after being strongly linked with the Spurs ace in the summer but a deal was reported to have gone sideways with both clubs not agreeing to a deal for the player.
Rose was said to have asked for a request in a wage rise at Spurs, but the request is yet to be fulfilled by Chairman Daniel Levy. The England International has only made one appearance for the English Club – in the Champions League against La Liga giants Real Madrid but he is yet to make an appearance for the club in the League, following his Injury from last season.
Ben Davies, Rose’s injury replacement has strived in the left-back position for the London Club, playing all full matches for the club and making a good impression on the team’s coach.
Meanwhile, Jose Mourinho is confident a deal could go through and he would land the English player in a £45 million deal in the next summer. A Daily Star source was quoted saying:
“The lure of United is too strong for him and if he had the choice he would pick United hands down.”
Danny Rose, who is 27-year-old is considered as a younger option to Ashley Young, as he also offers fast pace and skills, if he to be sold to United, Rojo and Darmian might not last another season at Old Trafford, as the English player would hinder their game time.
Rose has been impressive throughout his time at the White Hart Lane for Tottenham leading the team to the second position of the Premier League last season as they finish 10 points behind Champions Chelsea.
